where to watch sunset in vienna?

I know a fantastic place to watch the sunset. It’s on top of a small mountain in Perchtoldsdorf, a suburb of Vienna, well known for it’s winetaverns an it’s beautiful medieval center. The view from there is just breathtaking, you can see the whole city and it’s surrounding on one side and on the other side you can see the alps! It’s relatively easy to get there by public transport from the city center of Vienna because it’s right outside of the city. It’s an easy 45 minutes walk from the tram to the top of the “mountain”. I would not mind to show you this place.

Hmmm…
not for everybody but my favorite is seeing the sun set into the water as I am swimming in the neue Donau…

The orientation is perfect in summer as the Donau runs NW-SE.
Best spot is north beyond the Nordbrücke.

Ciao
